Duplication of (approximately) 20 kms of the Gateway Motorway from 4 lanes to 6 or 8 lanes and duplication of the Gateway Bridge in Brisbane.
Heggies undertook the noise and vibration components of the Environmental Impact Assessment for both the construction and operational phases of the project.A detailed 3-D computer model of the entire corridor was developed to assess road traffic noise levels following completion of the project. Cost effective noise barrier design was undertaken to acheive compliance with Main Roads' Code of Practice and colour noise contor plots developed for community consultation purposes.
