Background

Mr Gustaf Reutersward graduated from the University of New South Wales and has been specialising in acoustics and vibration since 1993. In addition to consulting work in Australia, Gustaf has spent time overseas in Scandinavia, working on the noise and vibration aspects of several large infrastructure projects.

He is currently the manager of Heggies’ Melbourne Office, and was previously Newcastle Office Manager, an office that has been operating successfully since 1998.

Gustaf has almost 10 years experience in project management and consulting roles in acoustics and vibration and specific expertise in the measurement and assessment of environmental acoustics (road, rail, industrial and mining) and associated noise control, computer noise modelling, noise mitigation and architectural acoustics, occupational noise exposure, vehicle structure vibration measurement, machine vibration condition monitoring, construction noise and vibration assessment.

He has been involved in many high profile projects in Australia and has prepared and presented expert evidence at Commissions of Inquiry and Panel Hearings and before other regulatory and statutory bodies. Gustaf has developed particular skills in the presentation of audio/visual simulations of road and rail traffic mitigation solutions for use during the community consultation process.

Gustaf is a member of Standards Australia Committee AV-06: Wind Farm and Wind Turbine Noise Assessments.
